A brief review of partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) use in quality management studies

Purpose Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) has become an established social sciences multivariate analysis technique. Since quality management researchers also increasingly using PLS-SEM, this growing interest calls for guidance. Design/methodology/approach Based on guidelines applying PLS-SEM and evaluating the results, research reviews 107 articles method published in eight leading journals. Findings The use of often only draws limited information results. discipline would benefit from method's more comprehensive by following guidelines. Specifically, predictive model assessment advanced analyses harbors potential to provide detailed findings conclusions when method. Research limitations/implications This provides first insights into PLS-SEM's management. Future should identify key areas core models that best support capabilities researchers' goals. Practical implications results guide who their studies. Originality/value is article systematically review discipline.
